Die Bad Company war eine der ersten britischen Supergroups und bestand aus Paus Rodgers (Gesang und Gitarre) und Simon Kirke (Schlagzeug) von Free, Boz Burrell (Bass) von King Crimson und Mick Ralphs (Gitarre) von Mott the Hoople. Die Truppe spielte einen bassgewaltigen Bluesrock und das Album stürmte 1975 die Charts mit dem Hit Feel Like Makin' Love. Das Album erschien auf dem von Led Zeppelin gegründeten Label Swan Song.
Das Audio Fidelity Re-Issue erscheint als 24-Karat-Gold CD mit fortlaufender Seriennummer und beiliegendem Booklet. Das Cover zeigt einen Craps Tisch. Bei diesem in amerikanischen Casinos beliebten schnellen Würfelspiel ist die 11 ein sofortiger Gewinn und die Knallroten Würfel mit den geraden Kanten sind die typische Casinoausführung.Bad Company brought back a stripped down, no-frills approach to blues-based rock 'n' roll and their second studio album, "Straight Shooter" was certified gold a month after its 1975 release reaching #3 on the Billboard charts. The album spawned a handful of FM radio staples and Top 40 hits starting with "Feel Like Makin' Love" (named by VH1 as the 78th best hard rock song of all time), "Good Lovin' Gone Bad," "Deal With The Preacher" and the wistful "Shooting Star" revealed a softer side to the band's usual hard rock dynamic.

The British supergroup, features Free bandmates, Paul Rodgers on vocals and rhythym guitar and drummer Simon Kirke, King Crimson's, Boz Burrell on bass and guitarist Mick Ralphs from Mott the Hoople. By this album's release Paul Rodgers was firmly established as one of the premiere rock vocalists of the '70s. "Straight Shooter" refined Bad Company's irresistibly commercial melodic hard rock into perfectly consumable bite-size chunks. The album's classic art work was designed by Hipgnosis.

One year after Bad Company's multi-platinum self-titled debut, the British band returned to London to record a follow-up. Utilizing material written earlier in 1973, vocalist and songwriter Paul Rodgers wrote two acoustic-based rock ballads that would live on forever in the annals of great rock history. "Shooting Star" and the Grammy-nominated "Feel Like Makin' Love" helped Straight Shooter rise quickly through the charts to reach Billboard's number three spot both in the U.S. and U.K. However, critically and commercially the album never achieved the tremendous success of its predecessor, largely due to the lack of strong follow-up singles and supporting tracks. Simon Kirke stepped out from behind the drum-set to help produce and write "Anna" and "Weep No More," two slower and less aggressive ballads indicative of the overall diminishing quality of the album. Following the release of Straight Shooter, Bad Company headlined their first North American tour.
